Who is responsible

Joining the waitlist

When you join, we store your email address, selected computer operating system, and signup and update timestamps. We use these details to manage your place on the waitlist and email you about Zinc’s availability for your computer. Providing them is voluntary, but we need your email address and platform selection to provide this notification.

By submitting the clearly labelled waitlist form, you request these availability emails. We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hi@tellerrand.ai. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Joining does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

The waitlist is stored using Cloudflare D1. Repeated submissions update platform interests without creating another entry for the same email. We do not send your email address or the contents of the email field to PostHog.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare delivers this website and processes connection information, including your IP address and request details, to serve pages and protect the service. Our signup endpoint temporarily uses your IP address to limit abusive requests; it does not store it with your waitlist entry. Our application does not log signup request bodies or email addresses.

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website and preventing abuse under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Website analytics

We use PostHog’s EU service to understand visits, download-button clicks, and completed waitlist signups. Events include a randomly generated identifier, event times, browser and device information, operating system, website host, and whether a download was started from the header or the main page content. The browser identifier is held in memory for the current page visit rather than saved as a persistent analytics cookie.

Our analytics proxy forwards your IP address to PostHog; the project is configured to discard IP addresses from stored events. We suppress full page URLs and referrers in event properties. We do not enable session recordings, general interaction autocapture, or person profiles in this website’s analytics integration.

A successful new signup also produces a server-side conversion event. It uses the page identifier if available, otherwise a new random identifier, and does not contain your email. An explicit analytics opt-out supplied by the browser is honoured.

Our purpose and legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is to understand demand and improve the website using limited usage information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us. This legal basis does not replace consent where applicable rules require consent for access to information on your device.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising cookies or persistent analytics identifiers on this website. The analytics integration uses memory during a page visit. A previously expressed analytics opt-out may be read from browser storage. The legal pages themselves do not load our analytics integration.

Service providers and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting, security, and waitlist storage, and PostHog for analytics. These providers process information to deliver their services. Their infrastructure, support operations, or subprocessors may involve processing outside the European Economic Area; choosing an EU analytics endpoint does not mean all provider operations take place only in the EU.

Where a transfer requires safeguards, these must be provided through an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us for information about safeguards applicable to your information. Provider information is available in Cloudflare’s data processing addendum and PostHog’s data processing agreement.

How long information is kept

We keep waitlist information for as long as needed to provide the availability updates you requested, or until you withdraw your request. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. Information needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims may be kept for that purpose.

Analytics information is retained while needed to evaluate website use and demand for Zinc. There is currently no automatically enforced event-deletion period in our PostHog project. Retention must be reviewed against this purpose; holding information in browser memory does not delete events already received by PostHog.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability of your personal information. You can withdraw consent and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We do not use this information for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Send requests to hi@tellerrand.ai. We may need information to verify your identity. Because analytics identifiers are not linked to your email, an email address alone may not allow us to locate your analytics events.

You may lodge a complaint with Croatia’s Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), or with the supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before using information for a new purpose.
